Pinbox - Map Your World App Reviews

I used to print a map and label each spot on my itenerary but Pinbox makes it so much easier. You can zoom in to find street names; pins link to websites; you can color code; you can write yourself memos for each location; and you can share the map with friends!

I like to keep track of interesting stores and restaurants. Pinbox lets me do just that! Some places dont have websites or are hard to find again and this app solves that problem!

The app is excellent for putting pins at places that I have travelled. I used to use the National Geographic World Map until an update caused me to lose hundreds of pins that I entered. Great communication with the developer assured me that this app was the way to go. It is very easy to use and just what I needed.

Operating a Garage Door Company in Edmonton Canada, dispatching 9 technicians driving around the city every day for repairing, installing and giving quotes on garage doors. Using this app we make a new map everyday for each technician and when we get a new customer to book its very easy to have a full view at all the work left to be done at that day and where in the city we will be in order to give a time frame for the new customer. Amazingly low cost, perfectly designed, bugs free app ! Saves me thousands and we never miss an appointment.

The idea is great but the app disappeared off my phone and I lost a LOT of pins as theres no iCloud copy. What a waste of time.

As my pin collection grows, so does the worry of losing them all because of a bad update. Definitely needs an option to export pins with and without all the metadata (including "pinned on" date.) Also second tap on direction arrow should bring "compass view" as defaulted in Apple Maps.

Ive tried a bunch of apps to pin multiple locations on a map and this ones the best. I can include information like photos, notes, URLs, phone numbers etc. It is easy to use, its UI is clean, and it keeps to the point. I also have been able to learn locations on a map, too. I like it for remembering one town from another on a long road trip. I can also get directions directly from the app. I saved several customized maps for different countries. It does a good job if that, too, so if you want to "bookmark" locations on a map, you found it.

Ive been wanting an app like this for awhile and I am so happy with how this one is designed and executed. Its very straightforward and easy to use. I have several different categories and I am constantly adding cool new places all the time. Props to these guys/gals for making such an intuitive app. Thank you. 2015 UPDATE: Docked a star because it needs an iOS update for 6 and 6+.

The app is good for pinpointing locations, but could be updated to where if the app is deleted, locations could still be accessed. There is no login, so there is no individual account to save. Itd be helpful to be able to save locations.

Salesmans dream app! This app is great to map out all your customers. Only thing needed is the ability to colorcode the pins. Having an option to change the color of the pins would be awesome, other than that great app.

I avidly read outdoor/travel magazines, books, websites but have had no way to organize the places I see until I found this app! I can pin all the places I see and want to go, write notes on why I wanted to see the place, the address and contact phone number if available. I tend to find myself on spur of the moment travels to randomly decided places. This allows me to locate my position and see if theres any spots nearby that Ive wanted to go to that maybe my brain isnt remembering at the current moment. Super simple and easy to use. I thoroughly enjoy that its personal and doesnt include others ratings, comments and reviews on places. Allows me to form my own opinion without the influence of others. I only see the app getting better with more options and features as it is developed more. Worth the $3!

Love this app. It I a great way to create maps on my terms. I dont need to be at the location to create a pin. Super simple interface. Developers of this app please bring back the old pin style. Keep this new one at well but I miss them actually being pins.

Ive been waiting for an app that would allow me to set all my appointments on a map. This helps when planning my day/route. Good job on the update too!

This app is extremely useful and so simple to use. A lifesaver for keeping track of locations and the new colored pins make it easy to distinguish between pinned locations.

Love the app, but would like to see more from a "paid" app. Make sure you do your work on the same device you travel with. 1. Should be a free app for now. I normally hesitate on paid apps, but I thought this one was worth it, at the time. $2.99. It needs to be free until sufficient reviews and functions are worthy of a paid app. 2. Does not synch. I spent time working on my iPad developing a map only to discover it doesnt go to my iPhone. Hmmmm, I paid to do it twice? 3. Allows notes, edits to addresses and titles, colored pins....thats great. I dont expect it to do everything, but... --If you just make it functional across devices, Id give it a 4. --If you tie it to contacts, I would give it a 5.

I use this app all the time if I’m making multiple stops in a region, or if I’m traveling. The design allows for organized placing, tracking and grouping of pins on a map in any desired destination, and any pin can be sent directly to Google or Apple maps for navigation. While the app is functional on the iPad, there is no syncing between devices so be sure to plot your pins on the device you plan to use for your destination. I contacted the dev with a feature request for syncing; he replied immediately and said that it’s a highly requested feature but that it may be a while before it’s added. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS APP!

This app is exactly what I’ve been looking for. It makes it so easy to remember my favorite places and plan trips. And, it’s not cluttered with a lot of confusing “features” that I don’t want anyway. It’s awesome!

This is exactly what I was looking for. I just start my taxi job and there are to meny hotels, apartments, and condos. To remember every location. I also love that you can make separate maps. This is just a great AAP.

What an awesome tool. Allows me to pinpoint exact areas of interest. Never have to re-find areas!! Trust me. Use it!
